DAYS 9-19 Hendersonville, NC

We have spent a lot of time just relaxing at home.
We drove out to Brevard and went to the Antique Mall there.
We drove around Hendersonville, getting reacquainted with it, going to Flea markets, antique stores, and just some window shopping.

Instead of the traditional bears on the street, they are now decorating goats!

The bird's nest on our deck appears to have been abandoned. We waited a few days and checked to see if there were any eggs in it. There weren't. A couple days earlier, we encountered a black snake on the deck. Wonder if there is a connection?

We spent an evening at a neighbor’s house getting to know some of the new neighbors. Only a few people showed up that night because we had a thunderous, lightning storm that afternoon, which included hail (bigger than M&Ms!).
Some friends of ours, Doug and Susan, who we met when we first started coming here, came over for a visit, and we grilled hamburgers and just enjoyed the time together.
Ginny and I also spent another day shopping. That evening we attended a Women's Group meeting with a French Flair. It was a great time.
We are planning on leaving on Saturday, June 28th, (our anniversary), and begin about a 3 ½ week adventure. Our first destination is North Carolina’s Outer Banks.

Keep watching our blog as we travel up the east coast and beyond.
